Family services works to promote health and healthy lifestyles for the families residing in Del Paso Heights.  Working within a strength based approach, family services is designed to help stabilize the homes and prepare the families to take advantage of opportunities by providing home visitation through the Birth and Beyond, Black Infant Health, Child Welfare Redesign and School Readiness service areas.

MAN provides five home visitation strategies to assist families in moving from crisis to stability.


Birth & Beyond

  • Pregnant Women or Parents with Children Age 0-3 Months
  • Parent Child Bonding
  • Prenatal and Infant Health Care
  • Children Eligible Up to Age 5

Birth & Beyond provides no-cost comprehensive support services to pregnant women and families with infants in and effort to help build strong families and reduce the burdens and stressors that contribute to child abuse and neglect.

School Readiness

  • Parents with Children Age 4 Months to 5 Years Old
  • Pre-School and Head Start
  • School Preparation

School Readiness provides home visitation with a focus on assisting with enrolling children into preschool or a Head Start program.  The program focuses on engaging parents in preparing their children for school through activities that are developmentally appropriate to encourage physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.  This program provides parents with guidance in advocating for the needs of their children and navigating the educational system.

Youth Support

  • Parents with Children in Elementary through High School
  • Educational Advocacy
  • Family Engagement in Education 

Youth Support provides home visitation with a focus assisting families in becoming involved in the education of their children.  This program provides parents with guidance in advocating for the needs of their children and navigating the educational system.
