Following a brief stay in Leesburg Virginia, Richard moved to California where he began working on motor skills and speech.  At age three, Richard moved to a small town near San Francisco, California and attended the FYT Preschool, focusing his attention on water paints, sandbox digging, tag and the alphabet.  One year later Richard began experimenting more with building blocks and crayons.

Lil Jason was born at 2:18pm on a sunny October Tuesday at the Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, the world forever changed that day. Growing up Jason always had a dream of becoming a cowboy, however that dream was crushed at the age of four. While living in a rural area in Texas near Fort Worth/Dallas where the nearest town was 25 minutes away, Lil Jason started a fire inside the house and came dangerously close to burning the house down. Jason later moved with his family to the Del Paso Heights area of Sacramento and grew up in the Strawberry Manor neighborhood. With his favorite three piece baby blue suit and his love of fire, Jason knew that one day he was destined for greatness or at least destined to work with youth.  However, he still has dreams of being a cowboy!
