Chillin' With the Arts

June 11th - June 29th 
Monday - Thursday 1:00pm-5:00pm
Grant High School (West Campus)
Population: Youth in grades 4-8

Chillin' with the Arts is a FUN and exciting arts program. Come explore mural painting, cartoon creation, watercolor painting, Lights, Camera, Action! Drama club. Make your own hip-hop beats and create a video commercial.

Jumpstart!

July 9th - August 3rd
Monday - Friday 8:00am-12:00pm
Martin Luther King, Jr. Junior High School
Population: Incoming 7th graders

Are you ready for Junior High School…? Jumpstart program is a program for youth who are preparing to enter the 7th grade. Classes will focus on academic readiness and student success strategies for the first hour of the day, during the remaining three hours youth will participate in a series of project based enrichment classes, such as art club, drama club, Get Fit (Sports and Recreation), and Urban/Hip Hop Dance. 
 

Summer Basketball League (SBL)

June 18th - August 10th
Monday - Friday 1:00pm-6:00pm
Grant High West Campus Gym
Population: Youth ages 11-18
Contact: Nhia Vue or  Tatiana Taylor

Come get your game on…This league is going to improve your basketball skills through drills and games. Girls and Boys are welcomed to join the league. The basketball league will end with a street ball tournament ("Ballin").

July 16th - August 10th
Monday and Wednesday 10:00am-12:00pm
Grant High West Campus (YIC Room)
Population: Youth grades 10-12

Step Up in life…by getting ready for college…? Receive important information to prepare you for college. Learn about taking the SAT, ACT and the High School Exit Exam, financial aid and how to research various scholarship opportunities. Employment assistance and training will be provided along with field trips to local colleges.
